Rhoda Gbla is a human rights activist who has devoted her career to helping marginalized women and children recover from the traumatic effects of war, violence, and trafficking in persons. Rhoda has nearly two decades of experience working for several NGOs in Sierra Leone, including the Norwegian Refugee Council, the Red Cross, Stepping Stone, the Mustard Seed Foundation, and the Society for Democratic Initiative. At World Hope, Rhoda manages the Trafficking in Persons Recovery Centre and advocates to Sierra Leonean government officials for ongoing support of survivors of trafficking in persons. Rhoda holds a bachelor’s degree in Peace and Conflict Studies and a master’s degree in Gender Studies.
