Gabi Gundermann is an International Researcher for World Hope. She is currently in charge of implementing a study that will analyze the effectiveness of specially-designed test strips for diagnosing urinary tract infections and diabetes, particularly among pregnant women. The study is taking place in Bombali District of Sierra Leone, where Gabi is collecting and analyzing data from participating community health centers, community health posts, and pharmacies. Gabi’s position builds on her two years of experience with Penn State’s Humanitarian Engineering and Social Entrepreneurship (HESE) program. Gabi holds a bachelor’s degree in Biomedical Engineering from Penn State University.
